Dr Wheatgrass Superbalm: An Effective, Natural Remedy
Indications: Dr Wheatgrass Superbalm is designed to address stiff, uncomfortable muscles; it's suitable for superficial and deep soft tissue massage, as well as skin recovery.
Directions: Massage the balm onto the affected area for a few minutes before and after physical activity to help soothe stiff muscles, or whenever required. It is not recommended to use ice when applying Superbalm, as ice can damage deeper tissues. In some cases, extended regular application may be necessary, so perseverance is key. Superbalm can be safely applied to raw, chafed, or cracked skin.
Ingredients: The formula contains purified water, capryllic/capric triglyceride, Triticum vulgare (wheat) sprout extract, cetearyl alcohol, glyceryl stearate, glycerine, ceteareth 20, stearic acid, glyceryl caprylate, sodium benzoate, xanthan gum, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, and potassium sorbate.
Wheatgrass Extract: The only active ingredient in all Dr Wheatgrass products is "Wheatgrass Extract". According to a 2006 study by Indian scientists (Kulkarni et al.), the antioxidant levels of wheatgrass extract were:
Wheatgrass Extract Benefits: - Effective, natural, anti-inflammatory, immune-modulator, and growth factor activator - Our most potent product, containing twice the amount of wheatgrass extract than our Skin Recovery products - Derived from fresh, vital, organically grown wheatgrass sprouts at their peak of bioactivity - Stimulates the activity of growth factors, supports surface and deep tissue massage, soothes and softens stiff muscles (no ice required) - Quality controlled using state-of-the-art human genome technology - Safe for all ages
Healing Effects of Wheatgrass: Medical research, extensive clinical observation, and experience have shown that wheatgrass can often assist when nothing else works. Wheatgrass can help heal damaged skin, sore muscles, soft tissue injury, cuts, dry and itchy skin, wounds, chapped and broken skin, and aging skin, among other conditions.
The "Grass Juice Factor" in wheatgrass is believed to have a powerful effect on the regeneration of damaged skin and the body in general, possibly through the stimulation of human growth factors. While chlorophyll is often credited for wheatgrass' healing effects, the hypothesis has little substance, as the wheatgrass extract used in Dr Wheatgrass products contains a barely detectable amount of chlorophyll yet exhibits similar therapeutic profiles as observed in numerous laboratory and clinical studies since the 1930s.
